A very last minute trip to Lake Tahoe for the 4th. We didn't have much time to spend but managed to find an adorable old school cottage room in Crystal Bay - North Lake Tahoe for next to nothing, found a hidden, tiny, but amazing beach tucked away down the road form our room, ate delicious greasy burgers & fries at the Snowflake Drive in South Lake Tahoe, walked through sun strewn mountain meadows, watched the sunset and swam at Zephyr Cove (which was nearly deserted), found the perfect spot to watch the truly amazing fireworks display and the next morning walked around the adorable town of Truckee and ate the filthiest (in a good but not good for you sorta way) breakfast. We hit some traffic on the way home so we pulled off at an orchard in the Delta area and ate fresh cherries and blueberries and used all my will power not to buy one of their fresh pies! We had a ton of fun - big props to our super G daddy-o for making it fun and allowing me to drag his arse all over the state!
